Questions about Install of Web Farm Instance
We have a Kentico 6 installation where we have a Production server connected to a Staging server using the Staging Content Synchronization. This is all working, with a separate set of web servers and database servers between Production and Staging.

Now we want to add another web server to be a part of a web farm. When we go to install this server, how do we do the install? Do we use the same database we installed the original Production site on, or do we create a new separate database on the same server? Will we need to export/import the site from the existing Production instance to the new Web Farm instance? Will we need to set up Staging synchronization to the new web farm instance or will the original Produciton server (part of the same web farm) synch with the new instance?

Your help is much appreciated. I know what we want (two Production web servers, one Production database server connected to a Staging web/db server) but I don't know how to get there. Thanks!

RE:Questions about Install of Web Farm Instance
Hi,

You just need to install the web project (or, basically you can create a copy of the production web project folder) and connect it to the same database and add appropriate license key. Then, you need to setup the web farm synchronization (for a load balancer purpose, additional license is needed as well as new license key with web farm server support).
Since the new web project will be connected to the same DB, the data will be the same.

For the staging - you just need to stage the changes to one server in the farm only, the rest is synchronized by the web farm sync.

Best regards,
