Advices concerning the test of some 'connected' features on my staging environment
Hello,
Im working on a webproject with Kentico (Ultimate license for 10 websites) and i need to add some social network features (Facebook like button, Google plus +1, etc...)
Our development environment is a single virtual machine, hosted in my company using the Windows Server Hyper-V Feature. Its very practical, but i need now to test these connected features to be sure that everything will be ok for the release date.
My problem is that my environment is totally closed. I only can access to my website using the Hostname (or IP) of my machine. (Note that I have an internet access but just to the outside)
Whats the best solution to organize my tests? - Adding a DNS role on my machine to access to it from outside? Hosting my staging website using an host provider to have a identical environment with the production environment (ISO)? (Was thinking about the test of the URL Rewriting for example in the same case)
Anyway, i can't have any issues concerning the referencement of my website, it can't be referenced.
Thank you for your advices!
Guillaume
