The default install directory created the web site in the "My Documents/My Web Sites" directory. In my case, "My Documents" is located on a network drive and I found out that Kentico doesn't run from a network drive (something about a permission problem with a UNC path).

Thought you would like to know so the install program can detect this error situation.
