Show particular page for specified users only.
Hello!
I have one page which I must show to particular users only. In CMSDesk, choosing my page, then Properties -> Security, I pick the needed users, assign permissions for them, set "Requires Authentication" to "Yes", than save. Trying to access the page, I normally get login window, but after entering the credentials I am redirected to the home page of the website, not to the needed page. What am I doing incorrectly? Please explain.

Hi,

After you have listed some users to the Security tab of the document, does it show to these particular users as expected? Well, I guess you have done nothing incorrectly because if you have set some rights on the document it does not mean you will be redirected to it.

So, you want to achieve that the particular user listed in the Security tab will be redirected after signing in to the particular page?

Hi Roman,

I don't mean redirecting users to particular fixed (home)pages after they login. I mean that when unauthorized user tries to access the protected page (for instance clicking the direct link), he is shown the logon form (and ReturnUrl parameter exists in logon form url), but he is not redirected to the needed page after successful logon.

Hi,

What is set in the Logon form web part for the "Default target URL" property?

It should be blank. Also, when you are on the log on page - is there the ?ReturnURL parameter present in the URL?

Hi Juraj,

The Default target URL property is blank. The ReturnUrl parameter exists in the login form url and points to the correct page.

I'll try to trace the logon process in debugger. But if you have any suggestions - they'll be greatly appreciated, really :)

Hi,

I tried it on my end and it is working fine.
I would need to have the access to the CMS to see this behavior and also all other settings - I guess there will be something small hidden somewhere - I do not know what at this moment, I would need to see it.
