Unable to use Kentico 6.0 due to license limitation
I had installed Kentico 6.0 and had created a second administrator account. I have removed the one-month trial license (expired) and I have added the non-expiring free license. But now I can no longer use the Corporate Site template due to a license limit. I have checked the event log, and the source of the warning is GlobalAdministrators.

I think this means I have too much administrator users, is that correct?

When I try to remove the second administrator account I get the same license limit warning though.

Can I execute a stored procedure to remove the extra administrator account?

RE:Unable to use Kentico 6.0 due to license limitation
By the way, this is the error I get when I try to delete the administrator:

Requested action was canceled due to nonfulfillment of some license limit. Please check event log to get more details.

Why does deleting a user require a license?

RE:Unable to use Kentico 6.0 due to license limitation
Hi,

yes, the free license has this limitation - only one administrator can be created in the system. But I think that Corporate Site will not run with a free edition.

If you need a license for development or testing, please send an e-mail to support@kentico.com and we will generate you a temporary license.

Yes, I get that. But... why do I need a license to delete users?

RE:Unable to use Kentico 6.0 due to license limitation
Hi,

I tried to reproduce the issue, but I was able to to delete administrator user even with the free license (tested with hotfix 7).

Could you please check the event log if there is not some detailed error message?

Thank you.

RE:Unable to use Kentico 6.0 due to license limitation
Ivana,
We are running into the same problem with K 6.0 on the license limitation issue. I dont believe we have set any other global admin and now onlyu have one site in the CMS and need to do some changes with it. The CMS is locking us out. Can you reach us with a solution to reset the admin accounts to allow for only one admin and delete any that are conflicting.
Thank you,

RE:Unable to use Kentico 6.0 due to license limitation
Hello Rich,

If you are locked out of the CMS Desk, you would need to access the database direclty and set the CMS_User.UserIsGlobalAdministrator column to "0" for the given user you want to remove this permission from. Any user that has this column set to "1" is counted as a Global Admin.
