Treeview webpart and Node data
Hi,

We need to present some internal and external hyperlinks in a categorized tree view:

-Cat 1
--Google (external link, opens google.com in a new page)
----Google Map (external link, opens maps.google.com in a new page)
--Yahoo (external link, opens yahoo.com in a new page)
----Yahoo Mail (external link, opens mail.yahoo.com in a new page)
-Cat 2
--About Us (internal link, opens “AboutUs.Aspx” in the active window)

Content editors(non-technical users) should be able to add or remove hyperlinks to this tree. I’ve created a custom document type called “External Link” and I can display them in tree. External link has two fields: Caption and Address. The problem is I don’t know how to open a new window and redirect the user to the external hyperlink. I can't get the address value of a tree node.

I was wondering if you could assist us with this issue?

Thanks.

Regards,
Farzad

RE:Treeview webpart and Node data
Hi Farzad,

If you switch to the Properties tab on your external link document, you can set the URL redirection address (in the Menu section) to which has to be redirected after a user click on it.

Best regards,
Jan Hermann
