Regarding the search box ..
Hi all..

I have implemented the search functionality in my website, what I want to know is if user click on the go button without entering the search text, then it should give javascript message that please enter search criteria. How to achieve this.. please guide me..

Hello,

You can alter the search web part you are using to check for the input text. If the input text is an empty string, you can display an error message. For more information on web part modification please check this documentation.
