Multiple Payment Gateways
Hello,

I have a unique situation. I work for a library that will processing payments for a service with one fund, and then processes donations through another fund. Because of this I've been given two different payment accounts to work with.

Is it possible to setup two separate payment gateway types, one for products and another for donations? Right now they're both through a payment processing company with two separate accounts, but I've been given the OK to use PayPal for one of them if I need to.

In regards to that I'm working on setting up the Authorize.NET gateway. In the documentation from the payment processing company they ask that I "Replace Endpoint URL with: https://checkout...." or that I use an Authorize.NET SIM Plug-in/Extension. Where would I update the Endpoint URL, I believe they're asking that I change "https://test.authorize.net/gateway/transact.dll" with their URL.

Thanks in advance.

RE:Multiple Payment Gateways
Hello,

You can use multiple payment gateways and you can also make only specific payment method to be allowed for specific type of product (i.e. standard product or donation "product" type). There may be a need for some little coding in the payment method selector (in one of the checkout process step control) to offer only one of the methods, but it might be also achieved by proper Shipping methods setup (with proper payment options assigned to them). The particular solution may depend on other information, like if there should be some combined orders allowed, etc.

As for the Authorize.NET config, your assumption is correct. It's also described in our E-commerce Guide (v.6)

Should you need any additional details, please feel free to ask.

Zdenek
