Blog Comments Spam

I have been getting spam in my blog comments and it seems to be becoming more frequent. I have CAPTCHA turned on however I have a feeling that this may be a spambot submitting these spam comments. I had 13 spam messages this morning alone. I am now turning on comment moderating, but this is not optimum for me. How do I stop the spam? Would implementing Facebook comments help with stopping spam? Any help would be appreciated.

Member	kelements - 6/28/2012 7:30:01 PM RE:Blog Comments Spam Hi Juraj, I am using v6.0.20. I am using the out of the box CAPTCHA, but it seems like I am still getting spam. It's hard to believe that someone is wasting time submitting spam comments and entering the CAPTCHA every time.

Thank for the feedback. I am only finding one CAPTCHA in the market place and it is for v5 not v6. Are there others? Will Kentico be improving their out of the box CAPTCHA to prevent spam bots? I am getting more spam then ever.

Hi,

There are no exact plans for this since this could be pretty easily customized or a third party control can be used.

The control available on our market place should be able to import to v6 as well. I do not think there will be any issues with - maybe you will need just to rename some code according to the API changes.
