Staging Sync not publishing documents

I have a staging environment with workflow that using the staging sync to push to my production environment which does not have workflow. If I pick a document node in the staging module and Sync the document or sync the subtree it syncs the document but it doesn't automatically publish the document.

I basically want whatever the status is on my staging system to carry over to my production system so if it's published on staging and I sync then I want it published on prod. If it's not published on staging then I don't want it published it prod. I don't want my users ever on my prod instance managing workflow.

What's the proper way to set this up?

Hi,

what is the exact version you are using? I am using the latest hotfix 24 and it is working fine. However, the best way is to have identical environments - I mean that the same workflow exists also on the target server even though it is not actually used on the target server.

Anyway, I tried it without the workflow on the target and the document is published just fine. Maybe I am missing something somewhere, could you please describe in details?
