Hi Per,

please just switch to the Properties tab on a document, which is using the template you want to copy, choose the Templates section and click on the Clone template as ad-hoc button. After this, you have copied your template as an ad-hoc one, so please click on the Save as new template... for saving this template as a new regular one.

Is this functionality only available on Portal templates / layouts? I have an 'ASPX + Portal' type page that I would like to perform this same task on but for some reason there is no option to Clone or Save as new template.

I found another article (http://devnet.kentico.com/Knowledge-Base/Design-and-css/Page-templates.aspx) that makes it sound like this should not be the case.

Assuming that you could only Clone Portal pages, I attempted to go that route but I was unable to get the page layout to display anything so I'm now back here. : (

I guess the key for me is to use Widgets instead of Web Parts so that I can use the same page template, but allow my Editors to put different parts onto each page using that template.
