ArticleText doe snot display for Simple Article results
Greetings, I am having trouble getting the "ArticleText" filed of the simple article to show up as the Summary on Smart Search results. It works with other Doctypes. Any ideas?

In our case we have created a Knowkedge base with the default installation. Anything created using the "SmartArticle" doctype does not show a summary.

Hi,

Do you some default transformation? Could you please make sure that the ArticleText is defined as a Content field for the simple article document type. You can do so in the Site manager -> Development -> Document types -> edit the Simple artice document type -> Search fields -> Content field drop-down list.

Best regards,
Michal Legen

I found the issue there....

For the Simple Article by defauklt I had:

Title Field: DocumentName
Content Field: DocumentContent
Image Field: (none)
Date Field: DocumentCreatedWhen

Changed to this and it worked. Thank you. You guys might want to reset the default settings on that one.

Title Field: ArticleTitle
Content Field: ArticleText
Image Field: (none)
Date Field: DocumentCreatedWhen

Now another issue I'll post for RSS feeds. :)

DocumentContent means content added to the document in the page tab using editable content web parts like editable text, editable image, etc. If you want the article content to show up in the search results, change the Content Field to "ArticleText" and rebuild your index.

I really need to start reading entire posts again before replying. I see now that you figured it out. I hope I explained why your solution worked and you at least learned something. :)
