How do you display this unpublished document, please? Via the "Preview URL" property on the Properties / General tab, or do you refer to CMS editors? In this case, they should be able to see those attachments in Preview mode, if you have enough permission for them. As attachments are bound to document, it mainly depend on document-level permissions as described at http://devnet.kentico.com/docs/devguide/document_level_permissions.htm

However, it would be great if you could clarify what I asked above and also specify what attachments (Grouped, Unsorted, File upload) do you use, so I can simulate this scenario on my machine and tell you exactly what to do. Thank you.
