Smart search score and content preview for files

Hello,

I am using Smart Search. It also works for uploaded files. However, the transformation is not able to show a score and content preview. So I have two questions:
- How do I get/show a smart search score for Document type file
- How do I get/show content preview with highlighted results for Document type File?

Any help is welcome. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I guess you mean the Full text search over attachments/files in the DB, right? If so, in this case it is no possible to get the score since this is being executed by SQL search and not smart search, the results of these two different searches are then just combined. The same applies for the content preview - this is the limitation of the SQL Full text search.

Kentico Support	kentico_jurajo - 1/21/2013 2:54:30 AM RE:Smart search score and content preview for files Hi, This would be better to ask MS SQL server support abut their Full text search options (this has basically nothing to do with Kentico) or Google it - I am not aware of any easy way. you will need to customize the search engine built in Kentico as well.
