RE:menu - deployment
Hello,

Please find my answers listed below.

1) You can specify the minimal width of the menu using css. I think this page may be useful for you http://www.antix.co.uk/code/css/imposing_minimum_width

2) If you want to view your site on another PC (without internet connection), you will have to install a database (db) and a new site in which you would import your project. You could also copy the whole project folder and change the connection string to the db. But in either approach you will have to be able to connect to the db.

RE:menu - deployment
HI AGAIN,
let us assume that I did a copy for the whole project now, should the second computer have the Visual studio 2005 & the SQL server 2005 including management studio in order to create new connections and run my project there???

so kindly, in brief, i wont to to know exactly what programs should i install to the second computer in order to view and edit my project at another computer???

==================================================

the second issue is: when ever i wont to host and deploy my project to be ONLINE,( i means if any user have internet in his/her office or any where, he / she will be able to navigate and browse my web, so, what files should i copy and sent to kentico to put my project online???

RE:menu - deployment
Hello again,

Please find my answers bellow.
1) You need to have an instance of the MS SQL server and the IIS up and running.
You can find the system requirements on this link. Please pay attention to the "Server-side Requirements".
http://www.kentico.com/Download/System-Requirements.aspx

2) how to deplay a site to the live server is described here.
http://devnet.kentico.com/docs/devguide/deployment_to_the_live_server.htm

I hope this helps.

RE:menu - deployment
hi again, thank for the reply

i wont to ask a QS. regarding deplay issues,

after I deplay my site to the live server, are you going to give the user in my case my client an interface in order to add/ delete or edit the content he/she wish to upload to the site?

in addition, what is the shape of this interface, does it look like the current cms desk interface or it will be easier than or different from that interface???

if i deplay the site to the live server, what about the license keys?? am just asking if am going to buy the license key before the deployment process started?? am i correct??

best regards,
wassim

RE:menu - deployment
Hello,

Please find my answers below.
1) After you deploy the site on the live server, the user will have access to the same CMS Desk as you have now.
2) You will have to obtain a new license for the domain, you are deploying the site. You can deploy the site without an license, but you won't be able to access the site or the CMS Desk. The license price is listed on our site at http://www.kentico.com/Buy.aspx
