Hi vlatso-synqsolutions,

No probs,u can go ahead with the way you want. But just for your info ,i think the following link will help in personilizing content not the item visibility from the menu.
http://devnet.kentico.com/docs/devguide/index.html?displaying_personalized_content.htm

Thanks & regards

Yeh, this is the one which did not help me a lot. I did it exactly as it described there and the Menu Item is there. :-)

Also ,u can add the new column to Page Menu document in cmssitemanager. No need to hit actual database.(you might already know this, but just for additional info)

Thanks

RE:Hide A page(menu Item) from menu if user Role is other than Admin.
As I mentioned above I have learned how to hide/show menuItem according the role using menu web part. Now I am working on a different site where I am forced to use Repeater web part instead of Menu web part and the above approach does not work. I have set deterrent permissions on my pages; check the check box “Check permissions” but all menu items in the repeater web part are visible to all roles. Is it possible to hide/show menu items in repeater? What to do?

Thanks,

Vlado

Hi,

I tried to set deny permission for user with name Editor1 for some Asus product document. Then set Check permission option and the product was not displayed for this user by repeater.

Could you please check the permission setting of the document? It seems that user/role is granted with appropriate permission and therefore the content is displayed be repeater.

Best regards,
