For others which may face the same problem, the "Inactive menu item" property can be set in CMSDesk / Content / <your page in the content tree> / Properties / Menu / Section: Menu actions. Hi There,

Sorry, but I am using the mega menu example and also want to turn off the first level.

Selecting 'inactive menu item' doesnt seem to work? I am just refreshing the page to try it, but if I click on the top menu link it takes me to the page in the heirarchy.

I would rather it just drop down the menu and ignore if the user clicks on this?

Hello,

The mega menu isn't a standard web part and that's why this feature isn't supported by default. You will have to customize this menu to achieve this functionality. You could for example create a custom macro or custom transformation function which would check for the additional page menu properties, such as the menu actions and behave according to them.
