Web Farm and Staging
I'm setting up one server for Staging and then my Production web farm will have three servers. I have some questions regarding the set up of both.

1. Do I just link the Staging server with any one of the Production servers?
2. Can you go into more detail on how to set the licensing up for the Web Farm? I read that note about it in the developer guide but still don't really understand.

RE:Web Farm and Staging
Hello,

Yes, the Content Staging target should be set to only one of the servers in the Webfarm,
since the inter-server synchronization is then performed by Webfarm synchronization module itself.

When you run Kentico CMS on several servers in the web farm, you need to purchase a license for each server in the web farm. This applies also to the 1 Web Site License.

Did you have any specific questions about the web farm server licensing?

Best Regards,
Edward Hillard

RE:Web Farm and Staging
Do I set each license up with the same domain name on each server? So I would have like 4 licenses each with the same domain but each one would be for a different server?

RE:Web Farm and Staging
Hello,

Essentially, Yes. If you want to have additional servers in your web farm you need to purchase the license called "Additional server in a web farm". If you wanted to have 4 servers in your web farm you would need to purchase 3 additional server licenses.
