single log-in for multiple websites
I have two websites running within the same kentico instance.

Customers currently have to log in when they visit each site - how can i enable a single log in - so when a customer logs into site A they are also authenticated for site B?

any ideas? thanks
Mark

Hi,

You need to share the authentication cookie across the domains as described in this article.

I hope it will help.

Thanks Juraj

So i need to override the kentico code that writes the cookie following the log-in event and code that evaluates the log-in credentials and authenticates - can you point me towards that code please?

cheers

RE:single log-in for multiple websites
Do you recommend using this approach -Are there any side effects that i should be concerned about ?

im just thinking that it may cause problems with the shopping cart (that relies on cookies). I would like to keep distinct shopping carts for each website.

Hi,

I won't mention it if is wasn't recommended. It is standard approach. I do not see any issues with the shopping cart since it is using different cookie. At least, I haven't heard from any customer who is using this approach about issues with shopping cart.
