new site error code

An error occurred while adding the new site code. error code is attached.

ERROR: Error importing document ''
Message: [TreeNode.NewInstance]: Class name CMS.MenuItem not defined! Stack Trace: at CMS.TreeEngine.TreeNode.NewInstanceFromDataRow(DataRow dataRow, String className, TreeProvider existingTreeProvider)
at CMS.TreeEngine.TreeNode..ctor(DataRow dataRow, String className, TreeProvider treeProvider)
at CMS.CMSImportExport.ImportProvider.ImportDocuments(SiteImportSettings settings, TranslationHelper th)

RE:new site error code

Hello.

How exactly are you trying to create new site, please? Via "New site wizard" in Site Manager -> Sites (so the installation of Kentico CMS´ instance was successful), or during installation procedure of new Kentico CMS installation? Or are you trying to import some existing site via import procedure?

If you have functional instance, could you please check your Site Manager -> Development -> Document types section, if document type of cms.menuitem class name exists here? Thank you.

Hello.

So you exported from version 5.x and trying import it into 6.0, right? Did you export your original site via “Export site” or “Export objects” option? In step 2 of the export wizard, was cms.menuitem document type selected for export? This can be managed in Global objects / Development / Document types section. Finally, is / was given document type assigned to proper site? Document types are global object, so it may exist in the system, but it can be assigned to some other site. Could you please check it? Thank you.
