What is the name of the Scheduled Task responsible for maintaining the size of the Event Log
An earlier post mentioned that there is a scheduled task that deletes Kentico Event Log entries based on the Log size system setting.

Can you tell me the name of this scheduled task as I can't identify it on my 5.0 system?

Cheers,
Martin H.

Looking at the EventLogProvider code in reflector it seems that DeleteOlderItems method is called whenever LogEvent is is called.

Hi,

Could you please point me to that post where it is mentioned that the event log is cleared by a scheduled task?

Btw. - you are right, every time there is an event in the log, it checks the old items and older items are removed from the log.

Best regards,

The posting where Scheduled Tasks are mentioned is http://devnet.kentico.com/Forums/f40/t9922/Event-Log-Size.aspx.

Thanks for confirming how the log deletin actually occurs.

Cheers,
