Content Staging - staging server uses proxy
Hi,

I am trying to implement content staging on a Kentico 5.5 website. The staging version of a site is behind a firewall and the production version is on a public web server. The problem is that the staging site can only access external URLs through a proxy. Is there a configuration setting in Kentico so that the staging site can access the production web service to push content changes up via this proxy?

I couldn't find anything in the docs for this configuration.

RE:Content Staging - staging server uses proxy
Hi,

Unfortunately there is no setting in Kentico - we are not able to cover every possible setup scenario on the network. All you need to do is to allow appropriate URLs in the firewall and on the proxy server (and also asmx file extension for the syncserver.asmx file). The two servers need to "see" each other (or at least the dev server needs to access the prod. server asmx file).

Best regards,
