Chaning the password format
On a new Kentico 5.5 installation I need to change the password format to Clear, when I change the membershipProvider settings in the web.config and then create a new user, the password is hashed using SHA1.

Does the Kentico membership provider support chaning the password format to clear?

Thanks!

RE:Chaning the password format
Hi,

You can change the password format in Site Manager -> Settings -> Security -> Password format field.

SHA1 and plain text are supported.

Ok, I found it. Maybe a good idea to also support web.config configuration, most ASP.NET developers that are familiar with membership providers expect to be able to control this through the web.config file.

RE:Chaning the password format
Hi,

We will consider it. But we try to avoid this kind of settings and only low level things are being configured on web.config level - therefore is the CMS system built - that the user doesn't have to do things on code file level but in some UI instead.
