Member	theo-procaresoftware - 5/10/2010 11:50:17 AM CMSDesk When in the CMSDesk I would like to limit the options available when right clicking (i.e. News) and selecting New. Right now when I select New it gives me a list of all available document types. Can we say limit the News section to only allow for new News documents, or the Blog section to only allow for Blog documents? Thank you

Hi,

You need to set permissions for user roles for given document types - Document type permissions.

Or you can also use the UI personalization.

Or, you can also disallow particular document types to be placed under some other types. You need to go to Site Manager -> Development -> Document types -> edit the document type which is the parent, click the Child types tab and uncheck the types you do not want to allow under this type.
