Newsletter Sender

Under CMSDesk -> Tools -> Newsletters -> (edit item) -> Configuration there are two fields for specifying the Sender of the newsletter. It also it the e-mail address that is used for the unsubscribe and subscribe confirmation e-mails for that newsletter.

Are macros accepted here so that it can change depending on this context? If so, how would I do it?

If macros are not possible, then this should be a feature request. For example, when editing the newsletter, right above the Subject field there could be the two Sender fields that would override the Configuration settings just for that particular issue.

The reasoning behind this is that we like to have our newsletters come from a particular individual, and it is different for each issue.

Regrettably, this is not supported in current version, but I can add this as feature requirement for future versions. Just to clarify this, basically you want to be able to override newsletter's 'sender' setting for each particular issue (you wrote newsletter, but I suppose you meant issue) when sending it - is this correct? You also mentioned (un)subscribe email templates, but I'm not sure if it would be possible to change them depending on current issue as these templates are related to newsletter, not the issue. You could periodically change the sender for newsletter instead in this case. Thank you in advance for any further details you can provide.
