I m new to kentico.

I have worked long with DNN in the past.

Here my question is what is the Data Access Layer in kentico.

I mean what is the best way to perform database operation from the custom webparts?

as in the DNN we are provide InfoClass-> Controller Class -> Data Provider Class -> Sql DataProvider Class.

what is the way in kentico?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
