Domain Aliases
I'm a little confused about domain aliases.

We sometimes use a different URL to direct people to a specific subpage. Like our site is accessible via "domain.com" but "domain.com/folder/subpage.aspx" is accessible via "domain2.com".

I setup a domain alias with the following properties:
Domain alias: domain2.com

Default alias path: /folder/subpage.aspx
Redirect URL:

I get an error saying that there's no license key for domain2.com. Isn't this the purpose of multiple domains?

Thanks!

RE:Domain Aliases
Hi,

Yes, it is the purpose of multiple domains, but since Kentico CMS is licensed per domain, you need separate license key for each domain name/IP under which you are accessing the site. Moreover, for development, testing, staging purpose you can get the license keys for free as well as for any number of domain aliases which are pointing to the same web site content. For additional license keys you need to contact our support (support@kentico.com) or sales (sales@kentico.com).
