Blogger Subscription Function/Webpart
To anyone,

We have had two requests from clients for a webpart or function that allows site users to subscribe to a blogger. I know you can subscribe to a blog article to be notified of new comments made on an existing blog, but how would we go about creating a function for notifying users when a blog author creates a new blog?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi,

I would recommend you to consider subscribing users to content changing notifications.

More information about this approach can be found at http://devnet.kentico.com/docs/devguide/index.html?subscribing_users_to_content_changes_notifications.htm

It allows you to let users subscribe to notifications about events e.g. document has been created, document has been updated document has been deleted.

Best regards,
Michal Legen
