Smart Search Filter and Paging

I am using the Smart search dialog with results web part and tied a Smart search filter web part to it. The filter works great on the first page, but once I click "Next" or click a page number in the pager, I lose all filter settings and the results of that page are no longer filtered.

Is there a setting that I am missing to retain the filter values for each page?

We needed to set the pager mode to "PostBack" to match the settings we were using for the filters. Our filters were using a PostBack, and our pager was using QueryString. Once we changed both to use PostBack, the pager retains the filter values.
