Is there an easier way to figure out asset utilization?
The last person to create our website with Kentico put all the media (images, PDFs, videos) into folders within CMS Desk, rather than into the media libraries. As a result, whenever anyone tries to do anything in CMS Desk, it runs incredibly slow because there are almost 2000 objects in the document tree that the browser has to load.

I'm in the process of moving those assets into media libraries under the 'Tools' tab. However, I need to figure out dependencies so I don't end up with broken links and images. Does anyone know if there's a way to figure that out, without having to resort to the 'trial-and-error' process? A good example of what I'm looking for would be how you can view page templates, and Kentico will tell you which documents are using that particular template.

RE:Is there an easier way to figure out asset utilization?
You could use a link spider to accomplish this. I use a program called Web Link Validator (WLV) that crawls my site and then lists every file. After clicking on a file, there is a tab called "Parents" that will list all the dependencies.

I hope this helps.

P.S. WLV has a license fee, but you may be able to find a free one.
