How to tell if a site uses Kentico
Hello!

Since I'm suspecting that our service provider where I work has rebranded Kentico and sold it to us as their CMS.

However, I'm not really familiar with Kentico (I only found it because "BizForms" sounded a bit suspicious in the CMS and I googled it), and so I'd like to know whether we're actually using Kentico before taking action (maybe even buying a license for a new version of Kentico outright for ourselves). I would like, therefore, to ask if there are any tell-tale signs that a site is produced with kentico?

Thanks!

RE:How to tell if a site uses Kentico
1 - Search the page html for Kentico
2 - Compare the source to the source on www.kentico.com
3 - Compare the backoffice admin site (CmsDesk) that your service provider gives you to the CmsDesk in Kentico.

It should be pretty obvious - Since Kentico is just an ASP.Net web application, rebranding is an pretty straightforward thing to do.

RE:How to tell if a site uses Kentico
Thanks for your reply :)

1. First thing I did :D They have removed it, of course
2. since it's an old version I don't think it'd be very comparable...
3. Again, it's an old (5.5) version I'm using, so it wouldn't be foolproof, plus -who knows, maybe they could have copied the looks (ok, not that plausible).

Support has replied to me, I showed them a screenshot and it seems it's indeed Kentico, plus the backoffice is located at /CMSdesk, so I guess it's pretty certain now.

Thanks again!
