Changing Password Format
Hi

I had my site set to Plain text password format but decided to change it.

I have updated all of my users passwords to be encrypted and set their PasswordFormat and UserPasswordFormat to SHA1 but now when I change my password it is still stored in Plain text.

I note that this was a bug in v4.0 but it was fixed(?)

Hi just a quick update - I am using the registration webpart. If I change it in the admin system then it is encrypted. Via the webpart (using an alternative form) it is not.

Hi,

could you please tell me which version (hotfix) of CMS are you using?

Are you using Registration form or Custom registration form webpart to register new user?

When you register new user, the password is stored in the plain text?

Could you please confirm that you have selected appropriate site in the above left corner in Site Manager - Development - Security while setting Password format?
