Attach Uploaded Documents in Notification email in BizForms
Hi

While creating a BizForm I have enabled the Checkbox for "Attach Uploaded Document" in notification email that comes to Admin but for some reason that doesn't seem to be working.

Any Idea?

Thanks in Advance

RE:Attach Uploaded Documents in Notification email in BizForms
Hello,

there could be several issues causing this, but only a few of them are related to Kentico CMS.

First of, the form filed should have Field Type: File and the file you are trying to upload have it's file extension included in the File Extensions property. Please try to upload empty txt file after you have verified both of these settings are correct. Should this fail, try the following steps.

Please verify the files are indeed uploaded to the form in:
CMS Desk -> Tools -> Forms -> BizForms -> Data -> Edit Form Data -> {file name}

Do you receive emails e-mails upon BizForm submission, only without the file attached, or none at all?

If you receive the e-mails without attachments, please check if there is any mention of the file in:
CMS Site Manager -> Administration -> E-mail Queue -> Sent email -> {Find the message} -> View -> Attachment(s):

Please let me know what you find out.

Thanks Josef

Extensions are allowed and the value in the text box is pdf;doc;docx. There is a checkbox on top of this "Inherit From Settings" that is UNCHECKED

I get the email on FORM submission but there is no attachment.

I can see the attachment in the FORM DATA. It shows the doc name and it opens as well

In Email Queue - I do not see any email listed in SENT email wherein I received email on FORM Submission

Thanks

RE:Attach Uploaded Documents in Notification email in BizForms
Hello,

Form submission emails should be coming through the email queue. It is possible the email you are looking for has been deleted already. Can you verify the following setting is set to 0?
CMS Site Manager -> Settings -> E-mails -> Archive e-mails (days)

Please paste an export of these settings here (leave out the username and password!) so that I can check them. You have the option to export on the bottom of the settings view.

Is it possible for you to submit the form again and watch these queues for any new email?
E-Mail queue -> E-Mail queue
E-Mail queue -> Sent e-mails

Please let me know what you find out.

RE:Attach Uploaded Documents in Notification email in BizForms
Hey Josef

I set the Archive setting to 1 and can now see the sent emails

In the Sent Email Queue I can see the email with attachments

It shows there as

-----------------------------------------------

From: <Sender EMAIL>
To: <Recipient Email>
Cc:
Bcc:
Subject: <SUBJECT>

Body: <EMAIL BODY>

Attachment(s):
doc1.docx
doc2.docx
doc3.docx
doc4.docx

--------------------

But the email I receive, these 4 docs are not attached with that

Hope this helps

Thanks

RE:Attach Uploaded Documents in Notification email in BizForms
Hello,

it seems the problem is not with Kentico CMS but rather with your SMTP server or email client. Unfortunately I cannot help you with that, you will need to verify your SMTP and client settings with your system administrator. Here are some suggestions you may try:

It is possible the SMTP server has a limit set for attachment size, try sending empty (0 byte size) document.

Try using alternative email client.
Try using alternative (local) SMTP server, like Papercut.

Thanks

Documents uploaded are of 0 bytes only.. all 4 were empty, so attachment limit cannot be the issue. I would try with alternative SMTP

Thanks
