Hello,

When speaking about this kind of textboxes such as the Path, Transformation and Document types, there is always a select button which allows you to choose appropriate text input and places it in a correct format.

However, if you still need to trim the textbox value, you can adjust the code-behind of any webpart and trim it directly there when getting this value at the beginning.
