Page role permissions are not being promoted to next environment
I currently am setting up roles on my dev and staging site. I go into the page security, add roles, and they work great.

However, when I promote the content into my staging site and later into production, the roles are not getting pushed to the environments. I go into each page security, and the users and roles tables are blank. Why aren't the changes getting pushed?

The pages that I've setup the roles on state "This document inherits permissions from the parent document." Do I need to change the inheritance for the roles to be promoted from environment to environment? They are working regardless of the setting, but then again the promotion isn't working.

Thanks!

Hello,

The content staging module doesn't support synchronization of document level permissions. For a complete list of object which are synchronized please check our documentation.

Hmm I wonder why that is. I would think that you would want to set permissions in development and promote them to your environments up the ladder.

Thanks!

Hello,

That's because the development environment can be set up much differently because of all the editors working on the pages. The editors can also have individual access rights on the pages which differ from those on the live site where not as much development is done.
