Web Part Supporting files Export

Hi ,

We are exporting the supporting files by placing them under webpartname_files folder.
The problem we are experiencing is that when there is an update to the web part and some of the supporting files are deleted in the webpartname_files folder. When we export the webpart and import it , the process does not automatically delete the unwanted supporting files.

How can we over come this ? Is manually deleting the only option ? even if we delete the webpart from the sitemanager it does not delete all the files ?

Hi,

Regrettably, the import/export of web parts does not delete any controls. Even if you delete the web part from the Site manager, it does not delete any controls because you could use the controls somewhere else in your project. It only deletes the definition in Kentico CMS. Could you please delete the files manually?
