CMS Web parts
HI ,

i have noticed that we can add custom webparts in the webparts folder of CMS solutions & can use them

Also, we can download Marketplace webparts & import them using sitemanager ( Import Site or Objects )

Is there a way that i can build the custom webparts ( ASCX ) pages in a seperate solution & import them using site manger ?

i noticed the zip files downloaded from Market place has so many configuration files which would be available when i develop ASCX pages in a separate solution.

Any Help is Appreciated.

Thanks
Satish

RE:CMS Web parts
Hello,

Yes, you can install Kentico on an another pc and develop all the web parts there. When finished, you can simply export any web part in the CMSSiteManager / Sites / Export objects / Step 1 / Step 2 < and here Development / Web parts>. To import a package just follow the steps as described in our documentation.

Best regards,

RE:CMS Web parts
Hello,

the easiest way of exporting just particular web part is doing that directly in Site Manager -> Development -> Web parts -> click on your webpart -> Export web part (in the upper menu).

Hope this helps.
