Member	ericf - 6/9/2011 10:08:52 AM document types comments on MyBlogs Hi all, I have created a document types, not a blog, with a comment edit, comment view, etc. in it. A sort of article where anybody can post a comment. It works fine. What i want is the possibility to see all comments on MyDesk -> MyBlogs OR inside a new node (MyDesk -> MyArticles). Is it possible to do that? Thanks a lot.

If you used the 'Message board' web part, you can view each document that has comments by:

Go to the 'Tools' tab and click the 'Message boards' link. In the main window, click the 'Boards' tab, and you can see each document that has comments against it.

By default I think that you have to click the document link and view the actual comments on the document.

But if you want something more custom, you can alter the CMS desk UI and functionality to do pretty much anything you want.

Hello,

Well, Lancetek made a good point with using the Message board instead. In fact, the Comment View web part is meant to work just with the Blog post document types, that's why we also recommend to use Message board for comments over the other document types. You have then ability to manage those Message board comments in the Tools section: http://devnet.kentico.com/docs/devguide/editing_message_boards.htm. Please consider this option.
