Unsubscribe macro - doesn't work in web pages or newsletter archive module?

I used the unsubscribe macro in a newsletter. However, I also wanted to make the newsletter available on the web.

I added the newsletter as static html to a blank page. The unsubscribe macro wouldn't resolve though.

So I made the newsletter module available to all authenticated users, and put in place a newsletter archive web part. The macro wouldn't resolve there either though.

Is there a web part or way to make the unsubscribe link work on the web page, or do I need to develop custom code?

My assumption is that Kentico could match the authenticated user's email address to the subscriber in the newsletter.

Does anyone have any feedback on this?

Hello Joe,

The unsubscription macro is resolved only in the Unsubscription request template by default.

If you need to generate the unsubscription link, you can easily create the link manually in the following format:

< Unsubscription page URL>?subscriberguid=<guid>&newsletterguid=<guid>
