Link Directly to Blog Article
Hello,

We seem to be having problems linking directly to a blog post. Regardless of the link, the user is taken to the main blog page which lists all articles (showing the most recent first). Furthermore, we have a list of months on the page but clicking that doesn't change the view - again, all posts are listed.

You can see an example here: https://www.wealthsprout.com/Community/Blog/Wealth-Sprout/June-2011/Exchange-Traded-Funds---The-Basics.aspx

That is the third post, but we see all posts. Try clicking one of the months on the left as well.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Ryan

Hello,

I'm not sure how you have the mentioned pages configured. I would suggest you to install a Sample corporate site and compare your setup to the default one. Please take a close look at the repeaters and transformations used.

Best regards,

We haven't made any changes to the transformations and/or repeaters... any other ideas? Have you ever seen this issue before?

Hello,

In that case I would need to see your setup by myself. I've never encountered such an issue myself, however I think this will be just some configuration issue. I can tell you more after a closer examination. Could you please send us an e-mail with the link and credentials to your site to support@kentico.com and please supply also the link to this thread so my colleagues will know what the issue is about if I am not the one receiving your support request? Please point us also to the blog location within your site.

Best regards,
Boris Pocatko

RE:Link Directly to Blog Article
Thank you greatly for the offer. However, I can't give out access to this site because of the nature of the site. This is an SEC-regulated client / site and we must adhere to strict regulations.

I know it's a stretch, but what about a quick GoTo Meeting where I could login but then give you keyboard and mouse control? Another option would be for me to take a bunch of screenshots of whatever you need to see.

Thanks for the help - really appreciate it!

RE:Link Directly to Blog Article
Hello,

As it turns out, we don't provide such a support option by default. For a live meeting you would have to use our consulting services.
You can of course try to illustrate your setup with screenshots, however direct access would be definitely the faster solution.

Once more I would suggest you to take a look at the setup on our sample sites (Sample Corporate site). There is a blog setup completely from scratch.

Best regards,
Boris Pocatko

No problem - I suspected as much! I've actually gotten this resolved. I needed to have a better understanding of the transformations and how to properly set them up. Previously, we only had a "Recent Posts" web part so that's why the display wasn't changing.

Got it all figured out now but thanks for the help!
