Hello,

Unfortunately the ability to index the entire sites, not just specific web parts and forms was not was introduced till Kentico CMS 6, where you can make use of Document crawler index type, which indexes the web parts as they would appear to the visitor. You will need to either update your site or custom develop such behaviour.

Hi Josef,

I just came across this post and it's very relevant to my current problem.

I have a document type which doesn't have any "Form" fields for content. Instead it has a few webparts for editable content i.e. editable text and editable image.

I have a smart search index configured as a "document crawler" and it searches the text fine (entered via the editable text webparts). However, the image in the results preview tab is broken. How do I display the image which has been set via the editable image webpart ? I have set the search fields on the doc type as follows :

Content Field: DocumentContent
Image Field: DocumentContent

Is there something special I need to have in the transformation to extract the image ?

any help appreciated

It does not parse images in text fields for search results. However you can create a custom transformation function to detect the image you want to use. Regards, Josef Dvorak
