check for media library file
Hi Guys,

I have a simple requirement to check whether a physical file (media library file) exists in its folder or not. The metadata could still exist in media library, but someone might has deleted it manually. So I need to check it before doing modification on it. Is there any media library API to do it?

thanks.

RE:check for media library file
Hi,

We have prepared an extension tool to be put into Tools / Media Libraries and Tools / Groups / <editgroup> / Media libraries
It adds another tab - "Maintenance" to the page for managing media library (and its files). It works with version 5.5.

Please find following zip file:
Download: MediaLibraryMaintenance_5_5.zip

Copy its content to the web project directory. Then, in the user interface in CMS Desk -> Tools -> Media library, in each media library, you can visit the new tab - Maintenance - and here you can fix the inconsistency between file system and DB, if any files are listed as not having physical files.

Enjoy.

Zdenek

RE:check for media library file
I'm encountering the same problem with the DB and file system being out of sync. The link in your post is no longer working.

Can you provide me with this download? I'm running 5.5 R2.

Thanks

Adam
