Yearly Membership or Subscription

Does Kentico 5.x have a module to allow users to subscribe to a "membership" or "subscription" for a given period of time? For instance, I want to offer a monthly newsletter, additional downloads, etc. to "members" but in order to get access the user would first have to become a member by paying a membership/subscription fee that will expire 1 year from date of purchase. Then what I'd have is a workflow to check once per day to see if someone is 90 days from expiration and send them an email stating they are about to expire with a link to renew.

Out of the box or custom module? If out of the box, what license version does this apply to?

The option with scheduled tasks would be helpful for you.

You would need the E-commerce feature for that (Feature Matrix). We plan the paid membership as a new feature of the version 6.0.

Hi,

the Beta version of 6.0 is already downloadable for our partners on the Partners portal.

There will be a new module in Site manager -> Administration -> Membership and it will allow to specify sorts of membership and associate products which will be available to purchase through the E-commerce module. The membership will allow to specify an expiration time. The version 6.0 will be downloadable in September or October.
