It currently does not populate the first name and last name fields, which is dangerous because it may break my site. How can I add those fields to this form and make them required fields? Thanks! Hello Joe.

You can modify given control and add new field(s) or make some existing mandatory (using some validation controls) in CMSSiteManager/Administration/Users/user_new.aspx. I am not quite sure what do you mean by "It currently does not populate the first name and last name fields, which is dangerous because it may break my site" - I mean why it dangerous? Anyway, you can change default behavior in control I mentioned.
