Rights to see Design Tab

Hi,

I'm trying to allow access to the Design Tab to a new role I created. In UI Personalization, I have all the tabs selected under the Content module for the new role.

When the user logs in, they are able to see all of the tabs except for the Design tab.

I have read in many other posts that I need to make sure that the page is a portal page - and it is. Also, other (out of the box) roles are able to see the Design tab for these pages.

Suggestions on how I can give access to this tab?

Hi,

To allow the access to the Design tab, the user also has to have the "Design web site" permission.
For versions 5.x, it's a permission for the Content module.
For 6.0 it's under separate module - Design.

You can set it in Site manager -> Administration -> Permissions

Please select the Permission type (for) Modules and according to your version, choose either Content or Design, then please ensure that the user's role has the "Design web site" permission (needs to be ticked).
Then it should work (the user will need to log in again).
