how to secure document types fields attach files.

Hello,

I am using a document type for some pdf files and doc files where user inputs some title, description and attachment file pdf or any doc. I am using properties->security for manage security settings for various roles bor various document types data (records).

Suppose doc1 is assign to role1 users. when role1 users logged in into site at that time doc1 page will displayed to them users. and user can download its attached doc or pdf file by using a link like this

https://localhost/getattachment/cfc99fea-d804-4d22-8759-da62cc281e8f/August-2011.aspx

like this URL he/she can download this doc attached pdf or doc file but after logout this user if we again open this URL in browser without login any user in that case this attachment file downloaded again without any restriction.

How can we restrict user to download secured attachment files from document types???

Hi,

could you please check in the Site Manager - Setting - System - Files, if the option Check files permissions is checked?

With this setting the attachment should be available after the user logs in.

Please make sure that you selected correct site in the upper- left corner.
