Smart Search: Index for dynamic content
Is it possible to include a dynamic content in the smart search index?
I have a page where repeater webpart render the list (title with short description) of the products related to current page. I want have this page in search result when I search for the name of the product. How can I make it?

RE:Smart Search: Index for dynamic content
Hi,

Regrettably it is not possible to index or search dynamic content in Kentico CMS smart search module. We are planning to add such feature in some of the next versions of Kentico CMS.

Best regards,
Miroslav Remias.

RE:Smart Search: Index for dynamic content
Can you tell me if this has been resolved? And if so what version?

I am using version 6.0 and am building an accordion on the page from content contained in a custom table. I would like the content from the accordion to be available in smart search and available for the client to discover. Does smart search only index the content that is static for a given page? Or does indexing render the page completely before creating the index.

Thanks,
John

RE:Smart Search: Index for dynamic content
Hello,

Kentico CMS 6.0 provides a new type of Smart search index type named the Documents crawler. This type of index indexes the rendered HTML output generated by documents in the content tree. So this way, if your document displays the content from a custom table, the document will be searchable using any expression that is presented in the rendered HTML code of the document.
