WYSIWYG Editor behaving oddly
Hello,
I am running the free version of Kentico CMS 4.1. For some reason, the WYSIWYG editor no longer has drop down menus for font, font size, or color. I have added some javascript to the head of the page, but have not made changes to the stylesheets or the WYSIWYG .js file. How do I recover the lost menu items?

Hi,

What happens if you remove your custom script? It seems that your script is interacting and affecting the WYSIWYG editor scripts. Maybe you should add some logic to enable your script on live site only.

Tried pulling the script on sub-pages and told them not to inherit any content from the master page, but it didn't change anything. Will I have to pull the javascript from the master page as well to know if it will make a difference?

What happens if you remove them completely? Would it be possible to post the scripts so we can check the issue on our end too?

Unfortunately I don't have the option of removing the scripts entirely. The site is live, and removing scripts would drastically change the way the page displays. I will, however, clean up my code and post it in short order.

Hi,

And what about creating a backup of the live site and try it locally on your machine to remove the scripts to see if it will help.

Hey hey,
I pulled out the Java script entirely, and the same elements of the editor remained missing. Could using inline css have caused this? I have also included a screenshot of the problem.

as you can see, the entire editor isn't missing, only part of it.

Hi,

What is the toolbar set to be used for the fields?
Is it on the Page tab - if so, please check the editable web part settings.
Is it on the Form tab - if so, please check the field settings for given document type.
