page title prefix
I used the personal site template as a starting point, the prefix on my page titles shows:
Personal Site -

how do I change the prefix so that it doesn't read that anymore.

RE:page title prefix
Hello.

Could you please go to Site Manager -> Settings -> (select site from drop-down menu) -> Web site and delete "Page title prefix" property? Thank you.

I tried both have the Page Title empty, and tried to give it another title. my site still shows the prefix "Personal Site" in the browser.

RE:page title prefix
Hello.

Are you using Portal engine or ASPX templates development model? If ASPX templates, it is possible that you have written it in code-behind of your master page. If Portal engine, the option I have mentioned should works. It is important to set this property for particular site, not for global. Can you please check it? Thank you.

RE:page title prefix
I have this same issue. It seems to be hardcoded into the Master Page, which it won't let me edit. Changing the Prefix in the Site Settings won't do anything.

RE:page title prefix
Hi,

The "Corporate site" string is being generated from the setting in Site Manager.

Could you please confirm that you have changed the prefix for the particular web site?
Could you please try to restart the application and clear the cache?
Also, could you please clear the browser cache - this is being cached very often in the browser.
What are your cache settings?

What is your exact version? I have tried it right now on 4.1 (hotfix 16) and it is working just fine.

RE:page title prefix
Hello,

Could you be more specific please? Also, this is pretty old thread, what version of Kentico do you use?
There is the option to break the page title inheritance for each sub page and you can fill in whatever you want.
