Macro Problem in Newsletter
Hi All,

I have a problem with a macro in Newsletter. I added a new field to systemtables ->newsletter.subscriber and it works clearly with registration and under Newsletter->Subscriber.

I want to add this field value into the newsletter and I can find it as a filed on the list:
Macro Type: Data
Item: (all columns)

and it inserts a macro like {%gender%}. But it doesnt work. If I select an other standard field like Firstname, it works.

What should I do to correct it?

Thanks,
Serdar

RE:Macro Problem in Newsletter
Hi Serdar,

unfortunatelly this seems to be a bug in the current version. We've been able to reproduce the issue and our developer has identified the cause. The custom-added attributes are not loaded using macros. It will be fixed in the next version - 4.1.
We are really sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding.

I'll try to get more info if there is some possible workaround for this in the meantime...and hopefully post it here.

Best regards,
Zdenek C.

RE:Macro Problem in Newsletter
Hi,

I am having an issue with the newsletter on version 6 of Kentico. Based on the news example in the kentico site I can get the following k# expression to populate the data on the page:
{% CMSContext.Current.Documents["/News"].Children.WithAllData.ApplyTransformation("CMS.Root.NewsInText") %}

however it does not work for newsletters where we really need it as we cant use repeaters there. Any idea if it is possible to use the above Macro on newsletter templates?

Regards
Manoj

RE:Macro Problem in Newsletter
Hello,

We are communicating via e-mails but for other visitors:

the newsletters do not support context macros in the current version (6). The context macros will be supported in version 7.
